About

A brief story about my making journey...
I have had several 'adventures' with sewing throughout my life - as a child, sewing dolls for friends; as a young adult, in the fast paced world of fashion; and as a mother, with a business selling handmade toys called These Little Treasures. All these culminated in finding my true passion, which has brought me here:
Stitchlings Studio was created as a gentle resistance to throwaway toy culture.
In a world of mass-produced, plastic toys designed to be outgrown and discarded, I believe there is value in slowing down and making something that lasts. Something created by hand, with care, patience, and intention.
My mission is to help people turn scraps, skills and time, into meaningful handmade toys that honour both children and the planet. Toys that are soft, simple and full of personality. Toys that can be repaired, loved deeply and passed on - not replaced.
Through my thoughtfully designed patterns and step-by-step tutorials, I guide makers to create cloth dolls and toys that carry stories, not logos - and memories, not trends. Each piece made by you, is an act of care: for the child who will love it, for the materials used, and for the slower rhythm of making that many of us need in our lives.
Stitchlings Studio isn't about making more. It's about making better.
I believe handmade toys hold meaning beyond play - they become keepsakes, companions, and quiet reminders that the most valuable things in life are made with hands and heart.
I look forward to helping you make your next meaningful project, and many more to come.
